Farm Fest & Plowing Competition – April 11, 2015

Largest gathering on the West Coast of draft horses and mules in a plowing competition.

Experience old-time farming history as 20 teams of draft horses and mules work the ground and compete in a plowing competition. Also enjoy horseshoeing, blacksmith and sawmill demonstrations, along with agricultural and historical displays, kids’ activities, food, music and more! Harvest Fest August 15-16, 2015

Experience old-time farming with threshing, binding and baling using vintage farm equipment, horses & mules. 

  • “Parade of Power” tractor parade at 1pm. 
  • Featured tractor: Oliver/Moline/Hart-Parr/White. 
  • Working sawmill & blacksmith shops. 
  • VFW flag raising ceremony at 10am. 
  • Kids’ area with hands-on activities,  games, pedal tractors and animals. 
  • Agricultural and historical displays, photos and quilts. 
  • Tours of the Yamhill Valley Heritage Center museum and 1880’s Hutchcroft School. 
  • Music, food, and family fun.

$5 admission (free to kids 12 and under).

Treasures in the Attic Appraisal Faire, Vintage Market & Quilt Show at the Heritage Center – Sat., Sept. 19, 2015

Antique, vintage and collectible vendors, quilt show. Oral evaluations of your “treasures” by local experts ($5 donation per item)

Food, music and more. 

$2 admission (kids 12 and under free).

Handmade Holidays Bazaar December 5-6 2015   
 
Yamhill Valley Heritage Center Highway 18 and Durham Lane, McMinnville 

 

Handmade items of jewelry, scarves, soap, wreaths, gift items, etc.

Be a vendor and sell your items or be a buyer and join in the fun. Santa's walk, silent auction, music, food, Christmas decorations galore.

Proceeds to benefit the Yamhill County Historical Society.

Bring cans of food for donation to the Yamhill County Food Bank.
